Now that you're ready, along with your friend, to keep Cipher from causing damage to Pokemon, you must stop them from creating powerful Shadow Pokemon.

Battle Mode :

- Colosseum Battle: Like Pokemon Stadium, this mode already has Pokemon set to battle against your opponent. The Pokemon you're allowed to use come from all the first 3 generations. Instead of cups, you battle in colosseums. There is one colosseum for lv. 50 battles and another for lv. 100 battles. You can choose either Single or Double Battle mode.

- Mt. Battle vs 100: Similar to Story Mode, you battle in Mt. Battle against 100 trainers. As the number of trainers you defeat increases, the stronger the next trainer gets. After every 10 battles, you can rest, receive Pokecoupons at the nearby counter and exit if you want. If you have purified all Shadow Pokemon, and you defeat all 100 trainers, then you receive a prize. Ho-Oh is your magnificent prize.

- PokeCoupon Exchange: There are certain items that you can't get in the game, but you can buy them with Pokecoupons earned for Mt. Battle in Battle Mode. Keep in mind that if you use Legendary Pokemon in Mt. Battle, you get less Pokecoupons.

Shadow Pokemon :

A Shadow Pokemon is a Pokemon that has been treated badly by Cipher. There are a few advantages and a few disadvantages to having a Shadow Pokemon. As a good thing, they have new attacks, such as Shadow Rush, that are powerful which can be helpful in a battle and if they reach an anger level, their critical hit ratio increases. As for disadvantages, a Shadow Pokemon cannot grow into other levels, learn any new attacks, and aren't allowed in certain colosseums. Having a purified Pokemon is an easier task to handle than having one that is part shadow.

Purifying Shadow Pokemon :

Its important that you restore all Shadow Pokemon back to normal in order to complete the game. To do so, first snag a Shadow Pokemon. If you view it's summary, you can check its status on how shadowy the Pokemon is. A purple bar is already displayed for you in battles and in the summary. As the bar starts to clear, your Pokemon is reaching its goal of purification. After the bar is cleared, go to the shrine in Agate village and press A once the shrine glows. Afterwards, your Pokemon will no longer be a Shadow Pokemon.

Orre :

The setting of Pokemon Colosseum is in the Orre region. This is also the region where Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness takes place 5 years later from the incident of the Shadow Pokemon created by Cipher. Later on, Master Greevil is discovered to be the top boss of Cipher in the Orre region.

Pre-Order :

If you pre-ordered Pokemon Colosseum back then in 2004, then you would have had the chance to exclusively receive Jirachi. It is unknown wether there will be future pre-ordering that includes Jirachi. Although, in Japan, Celebi was included in the pre-ordering instead of Jirachi.

Facts :

Pokemon Colosseum is said to be the first rpg Pokemon game ever in 3-D. In the American version of the game, Pokemon will at times cry out their names the way you pronounce them in Japanese. All battles in this game are in double battles. You can catch the three Legendary Dogs (Raikou, Suicune, and Entei) like catching the Legendary Birds (Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres) in Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness. In Battle mode, you can connect with friends using a Game Link cable to attach a Game Boy Advance with a Nintendo GameCube to battle using Pokemon you've already collected
